Tomohisa Yamashita has been appointed as a Friend of the House of Moët & Chandon, which celebrates its 280th anniversary this year. A photo taken at the Maison Moët & Chandon in the Champagne region of France has been released.
They visited the 28 km long underground cellar, one of the largest in the Champagne region, and 1,150 hectares of vineyards, and had a unique experience learning about the Maison's three-century history and craftsmanship.
Yamashita has provided some comments regarding his appointment.
“I am very honored to be appointed as a Friend of the House of Moët & Chandon. This time, I visited the venerable Maison, which is located in the Champagne region of France and has been in business for 280 years. I was able to experience the formality and tradition of Moët & Chandon. Also, I was deeply impressed by the fact that even after establishing its position, it has not compromised, constantly innovating, and continuing to pursue its commitment to quality. I was very impressed.I am very grateful to have been asked to take on such a role, and at the same time, as one of the Friends, I would like to express my gratitude for the charm that has continued to be loved by many people while preserving tradition. I would be happy if I could continue to connect with the times.”
